Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Riven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chester Longshaw! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Longshaw waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Riven. Longshaw misses with a straight left. Riven appears to be looking for a big counter. Riven uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Longshaw. Longshaw lands with a right hand.
It looks like Stephen Riven has been cut. Longshaw cracks Riven with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Riven is rocked! Riven is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oh Riven is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Longshaw throws a hook but Riven avoids it easily. As Longshaw looks to move away, Riven throws a big counter combo but Longshaw just gets out of the way. Riven seems to have got his legs back now. Chester Longshaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riven shoots in looking for a takedown but Longshaw manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Riven's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Oh, that's a big right hand from Longshaw and Riven goes tumbling to the canvas! Longshaw follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Longshaw postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Riven to stand up. Longshaw lands a brutal uppercut that launches Riven off his feet! Riven tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chester Longshaw!
