Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Murphy (ranked 5219 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Thomas (ranked 5426 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sean Thomas! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas drops his hands momentarily and Murphy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Thomas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Murphy on his heels. He'll look to pass Murphy's guard now, I'm sure. Thomas showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Murphy has a closed guard, preventing Thomas from standing up. Thomas is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas pushes down on Murphy's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Thomas passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Murphy! Thomas landing strikes from the mount and Murphy is in trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas thowing shots but they're missing. Thomas sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy is bucking up trying to escape but Thomas cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Thomas pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Thomas with the ground and pound from mount. Thomas is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Murphy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Thomas locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Murphy is forced to tap!
