Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brad Brown! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz pushes Brown up against the ropes in a clinch. Cruz pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes. Brown gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cruz.
Cruz effectively controlling the action here. Cruz misses with a hook to the ribs.
Brown blocks an elbow strike. Cruz goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cruz wants a takedown but no success here.
Brown prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cruz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brown to the mat. Brown regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Brown wants to get back to his feet but Cruz is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cruz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cruz connects with a couple of short punches. Cruz prevents Brown from getting back to his feet. Brown pushes Cruz off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Brown is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cruz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Cruz cracks Brown with an elbow. That is naaassty. Brown is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Cruz scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Brown to see if he's OK. Cruz throws an elbow but Brown slips to the side and avoids it well. Brown wants to get back to his feet. Brown is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Cruz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Brown some visible discomfort.
Cruz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Brown looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cruz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Brown is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cruz lets go of the hold and Brown can pop his arm back in it's socket.
