The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hotep throws a one two combo.
Hotep scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Hotep displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hotep shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Riot is trying to defend but Hotep finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Riot wants to control but Hotep is keeping busy.
Hotep will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Riot slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riot is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hotep has his hands clasped together but Riot extends and breaks Hotep's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Riot.
