Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Captain Gonza (ranked 476 p4p, 77 weight class) and Kevin Space (ranked 1696 p4p, 252 weight class). Gonza comes to the cage accompanied by Mononoke Hime. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Gonza 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Gonza throws a jab but it's blocked by Space.
Space with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gonza to score with a decent uppercut.
Gonza misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Space.
Space throws the left hand but Gonza avoids the punch easily.
Space misses with a low kick as Gonza jumps back.
Gonza tries to counter by clinching up but Space breaks away and moves out of range.
Space tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gonza was well out of range. Poor timing from Space.

Space has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Gonza pushes Space back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Captain Gonza decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
