Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tigran Minasian (ranked 1621 p4p, 191 weight class) and Phill Brooks (ranked 5936 p4p, 516 weight class). Brooks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cult Of Personality . Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minasian defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brooks.
Brooks has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Minasian is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Brooks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brooks lands a nice leg kick that just misses Minasian's sensitive parts.

Minasian gets a double leg takedown into Brooks's guard.

Brooks is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Minasian gets his way!

I really don't envy Brooks right now.

Minasian is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Brooks knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Brooks for a finish.

Brooks shoots for a takedown but Minasian saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

A decent looking cross lands there for Minasian.

Minasian is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Minasian lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Brooks is rocked!
Minasian drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Brooks right on the button. Brooks goes down! Minasian follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Minasian gets the win via TKO!
