Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Cabecao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eduardo Soares has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Soares! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Cabecao! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabecao avoids the head kick by Soares.
Cabecao scores a takedown into full mount! Soares is working to get back to half guard.
Soares throwing hammer fists to the chest of Cabecao. What's that going to do exactly? Cabecao scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Cabecao controlling from the full mount. Cabecao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soares. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cabecao connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round. Soares slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Soares looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Soares is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabecao wants to pass the guard but Soares is defending well. Cabecao is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Cabecao should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Soares is positioning himself well to prevent Cabecao advancing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cabecao wants to pass to mount but Soares is defending the position. Soares makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Soares. Soares is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cabecao is controlling him. Cabecao throwing strikes but missing. Cabecao slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cabecao decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabecao gets the takedown into side control. Soares is trying to get back to his feet. Soares is breathing heavily. Soares is not content to let Cabecao control the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Cabecao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Soares keeps working. Cabecao decides to stand back up. Cabecao steps back and let's Soares get back to his feet. Soares tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cabecao swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cabecao tries to clinch but Soares is having none of it. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Cabecao has eaten all the pies! Soares wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabecao looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Soares is fending him off so far but Cabecao persists. Nope, Soares circles away and we're back to standing. Cabecao is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Soares moves into the clinch. Cabecao wants to get back to striking at distance but Soares won't allow it.
Soares avoids the elbow strike from Cabecao, against the cage.
Soares tries to break the clinch but Cabecao is controlling the position. Cabecao wants to break free but Soares has control.
Cabecao drops down looking for an ankle pick but Soares pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cabecao shoots for a double leg takedown but Soares sprawls well. He's pushed Cabecao's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Cabecao dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Soares fails in his attempt to clinch. Cabecao feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Soares keeping moving, preventing Cabecao from controlling successfully. Soares wants to sweep but no luck. Cabecao must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Soares throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Cabecao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soares swivels though and keeps the full guard. Soares looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Soares has a closed guard, preventing Cabecao from standing up. Cabecao is breathing heavily. Soares looking for a sweep. Not yet Soares, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabecao trying to control but Soares is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Soares fails with an attempt to clinch.
Soares looks for a takedown but Cabecao sprawls well. Soares tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cabecao paws at him with a jab and circles away. Eduardo Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cabecao buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cabecao scores with a takedown into Soares's guard. Soares keeping full guard, as Cabecao tries to pass. Cabecao postures up.
Soares trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabecao content to stall in guard here. Cabecao wants to control from the top but Soares keeps moving. Cabecao is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Soares has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cabecao is looking to defend but Soares has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cabecao! Soares pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cabecao taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Eduardo Soares!
