Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geese Fury (ranked 706 p4p, 116 weight class) and Charley Hanagan (ranked 1676 p4p, 257 weight class). Hanagan has chosen Guilty Until Proven Innocent as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury avoids the body shot from Hanagan.

Hanagan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fury connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hanagan scrambles back to his feet.

Hanagan's coach down at Marty Robbin's Fight Ranch™ was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hanagan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fury swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hanagan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fury throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hanagan on the side of the head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hanagan drops his hands momentarily and Fury takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Hanagan stalks Fury and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fury's face. Fury staggers backwards, shaken.

Hanagan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hanagan lands a left and a right that sends Fury crashing to the canvas! Hanagan dives into mount looking to finish!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fury is squirming around, avoiding Hanagan's attempts to control the action.
Oh Fury is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hanagan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fury haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
