Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy The Iron Hand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward has chosen Converge - No Heroes as his entrance music. Billy The Iron Hand has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy The Iron Hand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Ward!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward drops The Iron Hand with a beautiful combination! The Iron Hand stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ward is looking for the KO!


The Iron Hand is rocked!


It looks like Billy The Iron Hand has been cut.
Ward tries to clinch but The Iron Hand moves out of range.
Oh The Iron Hand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Iron Hand tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ward swivels and escapes.
The Iron Hand seems to have got his legs back now.
Ward throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ward is looking to clinch but The Iron Hand is avoiding it.
The Iron Hand takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ward lands a nice looking body shot.
The Iron Hand misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Ward or perhaps it was just good defense by The Iron Hand which made him look bad.
The Iron Hand slips under a jab.
The Iron Hand lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ward circles away quickly and effectively.

and The Iron Hand counters with a head kick.

Ward digs a good body shot into The Iron Hand's ribs.
Ward throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and The Iron Hand counters with an outside leg kick.
Ward misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ward takes a swing at The Iron Hand's ribcage but misses.
Ward shoots and misses
and The Iron Hand counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ward's knee momentarily.
The Iron Hand displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ward throws out the jab.

The Iron Hand darts in and clinches Ward up against the cage.
Ward blocks the elbow strike.
Ward drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Iron Hand pulls his leg out and moves away.
Billy The Iron Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Ward.
Ward loads up on a big right hand but The Iron Hand slips the punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Iron Hand misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ward misses with a takedown attempt

and The Iron Hand counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The Iron Hand is breathing heavily.

The Iron Hand gets to his feet - Ward follows without any prompting.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ward throws a nice looking combination but The Iron Hand bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The Iron Hand moves away from the strike by Ward.
Ward fails with the takedown
and The Iron Hand counters with a left to the body.
The Iron Hand throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ward takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ward tries to clinch but The Iron Hand is having none of it.

Ward shoots in and bounces The Iron Hand off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The Iron Hand wants to get back to his feet but Ward passes into half guard.
Ward moves into full mount! The Iron Hand won't be happy about that!

Ward working for a guillotine from mount but The Iron Hand is in no mood to give up.

Ward is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but The Iron Hand is surviving well by controlling Ward's body position as best he can.

Ward working for a submission but The Iron Hand is keeping him at bay.
Ward is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. The Iron Hand can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Ward stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The Iron Hand takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ward misses with an uppercut. The Iron Hand saw that one coming.
Ward ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Iron Hand moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Ward dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Billy The Iron Hand's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Ward fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Iron Hand, pushing him back against the cage.
Ward wants to get back to striking at distance but The Iron Hand won't allow it.
The Iron Hand fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ward wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ward is looking to break free of the clinch but The Iron Hand has double underhooks.
The Iron Hand misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ward.
The Iron Hand tries to pull guard but Ward won't allow it.

The Iron Hand manages to break the clinch.
Ward lands a body shot.
Ward avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Ward. No joy for The Iron Hand on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy The Iron Hand. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ward has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Iron Hand can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The Iron Hand throwing strikes but missing.
Ward is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ward gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

and The Iron Hand counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by The Iron Hand.

Ward looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ward bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The Iron Hand's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ward slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ward drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Iron Hand looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Iron Hand looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Iron Hand!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Iron Hand will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ward is looking to regain half guard here but The Iron Hand keeps moving and retains side control.

The Iron Hand working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ward is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ward is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked The Iron Hand off and has taken his back!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ward is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. The Iron Hand defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Ward wants to control the position but The Iron Hand frees himself and scrambles - Ward manages to regain control in side control.
The Iron Hand is looking for a sweep.
Ward landing a few strikes.
The Iron Hand is letting Ward control him for a moment.

Ward decides to stand back up. Ward steps back and let's The Iron Hand get back to his feet.
Jack Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ward throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Iron Hand's waist but The Iron Hand gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ward off to one side.

Ward misses with a hook. The Iron Hand ducked under it nicely.
The Iron Hand throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Ward cracks The Iron Hand with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The Iron Hand circles away from the clinch attempt.
The Iron Hand keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The Iron Hand looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Iron Hand wants to free his trapped foot but Ward is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jack Ward will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and The Iron Hand decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ward's guard.
The Iron Hand is looking to stand up but Ward won't let him.

Ward working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. The Iron Hand doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. The Iron Hand manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ward pushes The Iron Hand off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Ward darts in trying to clinch
and The Iron Hand cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ward fails to land with a series of punches.
Ward wants to clinch up but The Iron Hand keeps it at a distance.

and The Iron Hand counters with a big head kick but Ward shrugs it off.

and The Iron Hand counters with a head kick. That will keep Ward thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The Iron Hand lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ward shoots in but no luck this time.
Billy The Iron Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Ward.

and The Iron Hand counters with a solid body kick.
Ward scores with a crisp jab that stopped The Iron Hand in his tracks.

and The Iron Hand counters with a shoot takedown. Ward fights it but they end up in guard.
Ward not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ward manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Iron Hand manages to get himself to full guard.
Ward's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The Iron Hand is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ward stands and steps away. The Iron Hand gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ward rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Iron Hand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jack Ward seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The Iron Hand throws a head kick but Ward moves out of range.

and The Iron Hand counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ward won't be happy with that.

The Iron Hand thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ward's head.
Ward is looking to escape.
Ward wants to improve his position but The Iron Hand is controlling well.

Ward manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Ward misses with a double jab

and The Iron Hand counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Billy The Iron Hand has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jack Ward is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Iron Hand throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ward works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Billy The Iron Hand showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ward has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
