Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shintaro Nomo (ranked 3239 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasa Panos (ranked 2702 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Shintaro Nomo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kasa Panos! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panos misses with a two punch combination.
Panos walks into a stiff left hand from Nomo. Nomo scores with a jab to the body. Panos wants to clinch but Nomo slips to the side and Nomo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Panos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nomo moves away. Nomo swings for the body but Panos moves out of range.
Panos clinches. Panos lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Panos. Panos is struggling to control the position. Nomo putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Panos in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Panos lands a left hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Panos misses with a body punch.
A short right from Panos on the inside. Panos pushes Nomo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Nomo jumps into guard, dragging Panos to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nomo wants to sweep here but Panos controlling him for the moment. Panos showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Nomo trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Nomo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Panos's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nomo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Panos is keeping the position for now. Panos keeping moving, preventing Nomo from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nomo cracks Panos with a solid left hand. Panos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nomo wants to control from the top but Panos keeps moving. Nomo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nomo throws an elbow that misses. Panos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nomo's guard. Nice move by Panos!
Nomo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Panos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nomo. Nomo can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nomo is trying to escape the position but Panos is controlling the position. Nomo wants to control but Panos postures up. Nomo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Panos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Panos controls the position. Nomo is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Panos wants to control but Nomo is keeping him busy. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Panos takes a little break here. Nomo wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Panos trying to control the position but Nomo is working away.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Panos works Nomo's body with a nice hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kasa Panos dominated that round. That's time! Nomo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nomo throws a hook but Panos blocks it. Panos takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Shintaro Nomo has been cut. Nomo walks into a stiff left hand from Panos. Nomo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Panos. A little feinted left hand from Nomo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Nomo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Panos. Panos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nomo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A jab from Nomo finds it's way through Panos's defenses. A swing and a miss from Nomo. Panos throws out a counter right but Nomo avoids it with no problem. A jab from Nomo finds it's way through Panos's defenses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nomo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Panos scores with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Nomo misses. Nomo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nomo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Nice defenses there by Nomo. Panos misses with a shot to the body and Panos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jab, jab by Panos - just one landing. Shintaro Nomo is winning the standup battle so far. Panos takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Nomo misses with a body shot.
Nomo lands a really nice looking cross but Panos seems unphased.
Nomo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Panos sees it coming and avoids it easily. Panos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nomo was well out of range. Poor timing from Panos. Nomo thows a leg kick but Panos checks it and Panos counters with a nice uppercut. Nomo throws a series of strikes that have Panos backpedaling.

Nomo throws out a loose jab but Panos uses good head movement to avoid it. A little jabbing left from Panos on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Panos moves out of range as Nomo strikes. The crowd cheers as Panos lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nomo doesn't seem phased though. Panos works Nomo's body with a nice hook. Nomo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Panos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nomo lands a head shot. A big right from Nomo misses. Panos throws a body shot but no joy. Nomo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Panos as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nomo moves into range and connects with a jab. Panos blocks a jab. Nice uppercut there from Nomo. Nomo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Panos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Panos looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Panos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nomo to score with a decent uppercut. Panos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nomo. Nomo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Panos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nomo in his tracks. Nomo throws a solid leg kick but Panos takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nomo. Shintaro Nomo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nomo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Panos was well out of range. Poor timing from Nomo. A low kick from Panos is predictable there and Nomo counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Panos looks to land a combination but Nomo avoids it well. Nomo works Panos's body with a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nomo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Panos counter with a right hand. Nomo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Panos. Nomo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Panos. Nomo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nomo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Panos misses with a left hand and Nomo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nomo tries to clinch but Panos moves out of range. Panos throws a lazy uppercut

That's one minute gone in the round. Nomo throws a hook but Panos blocks it. Panos misses with a left hand and Nomo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Some wild striking there from Panos.
Panos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nomo. Panos takes a swing at Nomo's ribcage but misses. Panos scores with a sloppy right hand. Nomo should have avoided that one. Panos throws an overhand right that lands on Nomo's shoulder, as Nomo tries to avoid the shot. Panos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Nomo prevents a body shot from Panos. Nomo decides to pull guard. Panos stopping the sweep attempt from Nomo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nomo looking to control.
Nomo wants to sweep but no luck. Panos is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nomo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Panos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nomo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Panos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Panos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nomo wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Panos is looking to clinch but Nomo is avoiding it.

Nomo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A good leg kick by Panos. Panos clinches up against the cage. Panos scores with a shot to the side of Nomo's head. Nomo tries to work over Panos's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Nomo lands a body shot in the clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Panos has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Nomo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Panos's elbow. Panos is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Nomo is keeping busy. Panos holding his opponent close, against the cage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Panos blocks an elbow strike. Nomo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Panos prevents it.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shintaro Nomo. I think Nomo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
