The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coutinho tries a head kick but it misses.
Coutinho looks to land a combination. Hayes sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Coutinho misses with a head kick.
Hayes looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Coutinho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hayes throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coutinho tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hayes is in Coutinho's guard.

Hayes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Coutinho for as long as he can get away with.
