Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Lewis (ranked 7884 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Duran (ranked 7354 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Lewis looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brandon Duran!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Duran. Lewis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lewis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Duran gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lewis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duran on the ground.
Duran kicks Lewis off and gets to his feet.
Lewis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Duran has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lewis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Duran tries to circle away but Lewis has him pinned against the cage.
Duran wants to break free but Lewis has control.
Lewis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Some wild striking there from Duran.
Duran throws a body shot but no joy.
Duran takes a swing at Lewis's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Duran.
Lewis gets a clinch.
Lewis tries to work over Duran's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Duran blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lewis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Duran's efforts to push away.
Duran gets underhooks to prevent Lewis's takedown attempt.
Duran can't break the clinch.
Duran is trying to break free.
Duran has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lewis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duran throws a lazy uppercut
and Lewis counters with a single leg into guard. Duran didn't expect that.
Duran is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Lewis presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lewis tries to stall but Duran uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Duran is trying to break the clinch but Lewis has him pressed against the cage.
Duran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lewis looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lewis slips a jab and a cross from Duran.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Duran misses with an uppercut.
Duran waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lewis.
Duran moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Duran lands a left and a right that send Lewis crashing to the mat, dazed. Duran thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Lewis is rocked!
It looks like Dan Lewis has been cut.
Duran jabs Lewis to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Oh Lewis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lewis get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Lewis stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Duran runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brandon Duran!
