The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyme closes the distance but Yaj moves to the side and Yaj counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tyme drives through with a takedown into Yaj's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Tyme slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Yaj keeping moving, preventing Tyme from controlling successfully. Yaj on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yaj tries to get out of the position. Tyme drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Yaj dives on top into guard.
Our spies down at at Far-Q Fight Club inform us that Tyme has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Tyme tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yaj definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyme wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Tyme bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yaj's guard.

Yaj knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tyme on the ground. Yaj can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tyme controls the pace. It looks like Tyme might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tyme looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyme is still trying to improve position. Tyme keeps trying to improve his position. Tyme controls from within his opponent's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Let's hope that Tyme has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tyme clinches up with Yaj and pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyme drops down looking for an ankle pick but Yaj pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tyme gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yaj defending well as Tyme loads up on a big left hand. Tyme rushes Yaj and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Yaj's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Yaj throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tyme tries to clinch up. Yaj lands a nice shot that snaps Tyme 's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyme moves to clinch but Yaj breaks away and Yaj counters with a nice uppercut.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Yaj tries to keep at a distance but Tyme has taken the fight into the clinch. Tyme tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yaj smiles and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tyme goes for a double leg but Yaj avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yaj continues to drive forward. Tyme looks to clinch and Tyme takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Yaj tries to move into range but Tyme moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Tyme doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyme takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tyme is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CM Yaj dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
