Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kylar Sensei (ranked 969 p4p, 46 weight class) and Josh Turner (ranked 1028 p4p, 52 weight class). Turner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Next Episode by Dr. Dre. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kylar Sensei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Turner! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner lands a nice shot to the body.
Turner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turner takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Turner enables Sensei to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Turner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sensei connects with a couple of short punches. Turner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Turner keeps trying to improve his position. Turner has momentary wrist control but Sensei slips an elbow through the middle. Turner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sensei is one step ahead there. Sensei has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sensei postures up and lands a big shot to Turner's brow. Turner managing to control the position. Sensei trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's one minute gone in the round. Sensei working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sensei postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sensei slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Turner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Turner wants to sweep but no luck. Sensei passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sensei landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Sensei cracks Turner with a big right hand but Turner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Turner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sensei wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sensei is looking to take a break and control but Turner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sensei lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Turner down.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sensei lands a nice forearm strike. Turner on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Sensei lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turner is looking to reverse the position. Turner is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Sensei lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Turner. Sensei trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Turner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sensei defends it easily. Turner keeping moving, preventing Sensei from controlling successfully. Turner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Sensei bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turner's guard. Sensei preventing the sweep. Sensei scoring with some ground and pound. Turner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sensei defends well. Sensei postures up and lands a big shot to Turner's brow. Sensei chips away with some ground and pound. Turner looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sensei puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sensei landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Sensei scoring with strikes to the body and head. Sensei winds up and cracks Turner with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Turner trying to hold on to Sensei's head to control him but Sensei postures up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sensei looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Turner wants to improve his position but Sensei is controlling well.
Sensei has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Turner has hold of Sensei's hands but Sensei slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sensei lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sensei lands with a punch from half guard. Turner is refusing to be controlled, as Sensei sits in half guard. Turner tries to get to full guard but Sensei has control of the leg. Turner is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sensei scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kylar Sensei dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Turner drops his hands momentarily and Sensei takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Sensei takes a swing at Turner's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Sensei. Turner does a little dance to reset his feet. Turner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A shot to the liver by Sensei. Beautiful body shot. Turner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Sensei misses the shot to the body. Turner throws a half hearted mid kick. Good standup being displayed there by Turner as he connects with a hook. Sensei scores with a crisp jab that stopped Turner in his tracks. Sensei scores with a sloppy right hand. Turner should have avoided that one. Turner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sensei ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turner moves away. Sensei shoots in but no luck this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sensei takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice uppercut lands for Sensei. That snapped Turner's head back.
Sensei is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sensei is looking to wear down Turner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Turner throws a leg kick and Sensei counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sensei comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Turner looks to land a left hand but Sensei moved out of range nicely. Turner throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sensei looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turner is fending him off so far but Sensei persists. Nope, Turner circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kylar Sensei. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turner gets off balance looking for a body kick and Turner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Turner throws out a loose jab but Sensei uses good head movement to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Sensei does a little dance to reset his feet. Sensei walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Turner looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Sensei! My spies in 3Band MMA ($700/week) inform me that Turner has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Turner wants to control but Sensei is keeping him busy. Sensei is looking for a sweep. Sensei struggling a bit here. Sensei sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Sensei trying to control but Turner postures up.
Sensei is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Turner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Turner's back! Turner tries to escape but Sensei has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Sensei is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Turner defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Sensei trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Sensei is landing with strikes. Turner can't take much more of this. Turner tries to break free.

and Sensei cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A jab from Sensei finds it's way through Turner's defenses. Turner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Kylar Sensei is winning the standup battle so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sensei sizes up Turner with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Turner drops his hands momentarily and Sensei takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A lazy left from Sensei finds it's target. Sensei lands with a nice body punch. Sensei works Turner's body with a nice hook. Sensei changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Sensei manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Turner is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sensei. That did some damage! Sensei tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turner defends well and Sensei ends up having to push Turner into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sensei moves out of range as Turner strikes. An attempted straight right counter from Sensei misses the target. Sensei takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sensei scores with a crisp jab that stopped Turner in his tracks. Sensei connects with a body shot. Turner throws a looping overhand right but Sensei ducks down to avoid it. Turner lands the left hand. Sensei looks to score with a jab to the body but Turner is just out of range. Sensei looks to throw the jab but Turner is out of range. Sensei throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Turner on the side of the head. Sensei bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sensei misses with a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sensei swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sensei shoots in and drives through. Turner sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kylar Sensei. That's going to take a lot out of him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A little feinted left hand from Sensei on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Turner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sensei lands with a good body shot. Turner misses with a body kick. A telegraphed right hand from Turner misses the target. Turner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sensei lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Turner swings and misses with a shot to the body and Sensei counters with a left to the body. Turner throws an off balance right hand
letting Sensei counter with a right hand. Sensei shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Turner but Turner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sensei throws a hook but Turner avoids it easily. And Turner tries to counter it with a takedown but Sensei pushes his down on his head and steps out. Sensei connects with a single shot there. Sensei swings for the body but Turner moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sensei throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Turner avoids the body shot from Sensei.
