Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Breno Gracie (ranked 1668 p4p, 192 weight class) and Tyron Woody (ranked 4218 p4p, 421 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Breno Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyron Woody! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woody throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nice takedown defense from Woody. No joy for Gracie on that attempt. A looping hook to the body misses from Woody. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Woody circles away. Woody fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Woody throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gracie feinted with a counter takedown. Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Woody pinned against the cage. Woody gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Breno Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woody swings away with a leg kick that misses. Woody misses with a wild body shot. Gracie drops down looking for a counter takedown but Woody sprawls and moves away. A punch combination from Woody misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A low kick from Woody misses and Gracie counters with a single leg into guard. Woody didn't expect that. Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Woody is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Woody trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woody is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Woody defends well. Woody controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Woody stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gracie tries to buck Woody off but Woody is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woody tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Woody working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gracie is working hard here to advance position. Woody is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gracie has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. A lull in the action here as Woody stalls from top position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Woody tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Woody has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Woody wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well. Gracie is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woody looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Woody wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Woody wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well. Woody trying to control the position but Gracie is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Woody trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Woody tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Woody working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Woody tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Woody wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment. Woody is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Woody swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Woody dives on top into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Woody is figuring out what he wants to do next. Woody passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gracie! Woody trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gracie is looking to get to half guard. Woody looking for a guillotine from mount but Gracie is having none of it. Woody tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gracie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie pushing down on Woody's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Woody is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Woody slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Woody dives on top into guard.
Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Woody defends well. Woody not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Woody avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Woody in particular looking to stall. Woody is trying to work for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Woody moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Gracie. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Woody wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Woody tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gracie is not content to let Woody control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyron Woody showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Woody misses with a hook. Gracie slips under a jab from Woody. Woody misses with a left hand and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Woody has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gracie swings around for an armbar but Woody sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard. Woody advances to half guard. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Woody trying to control the pace. Woody passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gracie! Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woody has control of Gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Woody is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gracie knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gracie for a finish. Woody patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Woody has the hooks in. Gracie is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Woody just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Woody has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gracie has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Will it pay off? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Woody working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Gracie fending off the submission attempt from Woody. You can see the frustration on Gracie's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Woody's arms. I really don't envy Gracie right now.
Tyron Woody is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Woody keeps control of the position easily here as Gracie tries to buck him off.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Woody is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie. Gracie tries to bench press Woody off him but Woody keeps the position. Woody is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gracie's shoulder. That is not cool. Gracie tries to improve position but can't. Woody is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? And that's the end of the fight! Tyron Woody comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Woody has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
