Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Beznisko (ranked 159 p4p, 22 weight class) and Solomon Kahn (ranked 286 p4p, 48 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Sergey Beznisko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Solomon Kahn! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beznisko on the wrong end of a nice jab. Kahn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Beznisko misses with a wild body shot. Kahn takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Solomon Kahn has been cut. Kahn avoids the body shot from Beznisko.
Kahn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kahn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Beznisko - the referee stops the clock and Kahn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Beznisko. Kahn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Beznisko misses with a hook. Kahn ducked under it nicely. Kahn lands with a cross. Beznisko lands a nice hook to Kahn's body. Kahn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kahn throws a lazy uppercut
and Beznisko counters with a straight right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Beznisko misses with a left hand and Kahn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Beznisko looks to throw the jab but Kahn is out of range. Beznisko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kahn manages to avoid it. Kahn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Beznisko throws a body punch but Kahn moves out of range. Beznisko blocks a low kick nicely. Sloppy strikes from Kahn. Those never looked like landing. Nice defenses there by Beznisko. Beznisko looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Beznisko lands a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kahn, as that shot connected.
Beznisko on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Beznisko clinches up with Kahn and pushes him back against the cage. Kahn is trying to push Beznisko away but Beznisko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. I was talking to Beznisko's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Beznisko keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kahn's efforts to push away. Beznisko has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kahn avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kahn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Beznisko avoids the head kick by Kahn.
Kahn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Beznisko swings widly with a right hand
and Kahn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kahn has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Beznisko misses with a hook. Beznisko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kahn did well to prevent Beznisko getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Beznisko throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kahn is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beznisko with the ground and pound but Kahn uses the opportunity to regain guard. Beznisko throws an elbow that misses. Kahn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Beznisko's guard. Nice move by Kahn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kahn stands up from Beznisko's guard - Kahn perhaps looking for a knockout. Kahn misses the body punch and Beznisko counters with a lovely straight right hand! Beznisko clobbers Kahn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Beznisko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Beznisko tries to counter with a takedown but Kahn is quick to defend against it. Nice shot by Kahn. Beznisko slips under a jab from Kahn. Beznisko shoots in for a takedown but Kahn shows good takedown defense. A jab from Kahn misses. Solomon Kahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Beznisko. Kahn wants to land a leg kick but Beznisko is out of range. Beznisko throwing a counter right hand but Kahn manages to avoid it. Kahn is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Beznisko had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Beznisko just misses with a punch to the body.
Beznisko throws an overhand right that lands on Kahn's shoulder, as Kahn tries to avoid the shot. Kahn scores with a sloppy right hand. Beznisko should have avoided that one. Kahn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Beznisko. Beznisko lands a nice looking body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Beznisko. A big right from Kahn misses. Beznisko misses with a wild combination.
Beznisko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Beznisko dives in and grabs Kahn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kahn pushes down on Beznisko's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergey Beznisko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beznisko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kahn. Beznisko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kahn moves away. Nice straight punches there by Kahn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kahn. No joy there for Beznisko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Beznisko feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kahn's calf. Beznisko shoots in and gets a takedown into Kahn's guard. Beznisko prevents Kahn from getting back to his feet. Beznisko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kahn wants to stand and escape but Beznisko is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beznisko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beznisko won't allow Kahn to get back to his feet. Beznisko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kahn wants to stand but Beznisko is controlling the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Solomon Kahn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kahn blocks a jab. Kahn takes a swing at Beznisko's ribcage but misses. Beznisko swings widly with a right hand
enabling Kahn to counter with a crisp jab. Beznisko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kahn looks to land a right hand but Beznisko moved out of range. Beznisko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kahn. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kahn throws a body kick despite being completely out of range The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and Beznisko counters with a left and a right that stings Kahn. Kahn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Beznisko. Beznisko throws a body punch but Kahn moves out of range. Kahn throws a right hand that misses
and Beznisko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Beznisko misses with an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Solomon Kahn will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Solomon Kahn's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kahn thuds his shin into the meat of Beznisko's side. Beznisko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kahn. Kahn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beznisko throws a lazy right hand but Kahn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kahn scores with a punch to the head. Kahn misses with a straight left. Beznisko with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Beznisko turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kahn pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Beznisko with a body punch. A glancing blow. Beznisko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kahn.
Beznisko appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Beznisko lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kahn misses the shot to the body. Kahn thows a left - swing and a miss! Beznisko swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Kahn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beznisko. Kahn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kahn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Beznisko is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Solomon Kahn seems to be getting the better of the standup. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kahn uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Beznisko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kahn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kahn misses with an uppercut.

Beznisko looks to land a left hand but Kahn moved out of range nicely. A looping hook to the body misses from Kahn. Beznisko does a little dance to reset his feet. Beznisko throws a body kick that misses. Kahn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kahn throws a hook to the side of Beznisko's head but Beznisko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Beznisko attempts a counter takedown but Kahn avoids it well and moves away. Kahn misses with a series of wild punches.
Kahn lands with a straight right. Beznisko didn't see that one coming. Good work by Beznisko as he checks the leg kick. Kahn slips a straight right by Beznisko. Kahn misses with a left hand and Beznisko counters with a stiff right hand. Beznisko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kahn. Kahn throws a hook but Beznisko blocks it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Beznisko keeps control of Kahn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kahn checks a leg kick nicely. Kahn on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Decent striking displayed by Beznisko there.
Kahn is rocked! Beznisko lands a huge takedown. Kahn is out but the ref is slow to react and Beznisko lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Kahn lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
