The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St George smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
St George throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sheven swings away with a body shot that misses
and St George cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
St George fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sheven gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sheven with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sheven misses with a kick to the body.
St George stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
St George falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sheven counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Pierre St George has been cut.
St George throws a front kick that sends Sheven stumbling back into the cage.
Sheven stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sheven wants it to stay on the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sheven connects with a solid leg kick.

Sheven takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sheven leaves St George with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sharven Sheven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierre St George.
Sheven throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
St George is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Pierre St George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sheven fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but St George is out of range.

St George has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Sheven shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sheven is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sheven prevents St George from improving his position.

Sheven maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! St George could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sheven has cracked it and St George is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sheven!
