Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JT Smith (ranked 3005 p4p, 414 weight class) and Giampaolo Turturro (ranked 2969 p4p, 408 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Im your boogie man. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, JT Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Giampaolo Turturro!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turturro clinches.
Smith has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Turturro blocks an uppercut.
Turturro tries to pull guard but Smith forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turturro has him pressed against the cage.
Smith struggles to land a body shot inside as Turturro controls his hands.
Turturro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Turturro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Turturro takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Turturro slips under a jab from Smith.
Turturro tries to counter with a clinch but Smith shakes him off and moves away.
Turturro darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Smith does no damage.
Smith throws a leg kick but Turturro sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Turturro tries to counter with a clinch but Smith shakes him off and moves away.
Turturro forces Smith back against the cage and clinches.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Turturro's elbow.
Smith is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Turturro can't fight it off and eventually Smith manages to take the fight to the floor. Turturro looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Turturro is retaining full guard.
Smith is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Smith trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Smith trying to control but Turturro is working from the bottom.
Turturro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Turturro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Smith is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Smith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Smith controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Smith is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Turturro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Smith is looking to defend but Turturro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Smith! Turturro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Smith taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Giampaolo Turturro!
A very excited looking Giampaolo Turturro rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
