Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seol Ki Hyon (ranked 781 p4p, 107 weight class) and Mfer Phol (ranked 1079 p4p, 136 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phol misses the jab.
Phol sizes up Ki Hyon with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Phol fails to land with a series of punches.
Phol tries to work over Ki Hyon's front leg with a kick but Ki Hyon checks it.
Phol bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ki Hyon's head.
Ki Hyon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Phol's head.
It looks like Mfer Phol has been cut.
Ki Hyon misses with a straight left.
Phol wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ki Hyon clinches up against the cage.
Ki Hyon swings wildly with an uppercut but Phol uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ki Hyon gets underhooks to prevent Phol's takedown attempt.
Ki Hyon tries to throw a body punch but Phol avoids it by throwing Ki Hyon back against the cage.
Ki Hyon manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Phol has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Phol seems to be working for a kimura but Ki Hyon defends the submission attempt.
Phol looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Phol is working for a kimura but Ki Hyon is defending it quite comfortably.
Phol is just content to waste time from the top position. Ki Hyon takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Ki Hyon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ki Hyon tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Phol wants to control from the top but Ki Hyon keeps moving.
Phol drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Phol seems to have locked his on tight now - Ki Hyon screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Phol, as he picks up the win!
