Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Brzica (ranked 2924 p4p, 307 weight class) and Sebastian Rutten (ranked 8288 p4p, 577 weight class). Brzica kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Made of Hate - Bullet In Your Head. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rutten lands in his opponent's guard.
Rutten throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brzica is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at JAG Battle Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Rutten moves into full mount! Brzica won't be happy about that!

Brzica tries to reverse the position but Rutten maintains control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rutten cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rutten throws some wild stikes that Brzica manages to avoid easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rutten putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Brzica knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rutten on the ground.
Rutten is landing with some decent strikes but Brzica is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Brzica is rocked!
Ivan Brzica's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rutten postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Brzica badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Rutten around the waist but Rutten pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Rutten is the winner by TKO! Rutten jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sebastian Rutten!
