Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Dassler (ranked 100 p4p, 12 weight class) and Iosue Nicu (ranked 180 p4p, 20 weight class). Nicu has chosen It's Dark and Hell Is Hot as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dassler moves out of range as Nicu throws a body kick.
Dassler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nicu defends well and Dassler ends up having to push Nicu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It seemed like Nicu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A left lands for Nicu.

Dassler keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Dassler counters with a single leg into guard. Nicu didn't expect that.
Nicu wants to stand but Dassler is controlling the position.
Dassler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Nicu pulls Dassler in to control the position.

Nicu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dassler manages to get himself to full guard.

Nicu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Nicu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dassler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nicu has managed to get both his arms back between Dassler's legs - danger averted.

Dassler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nicu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nicu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dassler wants to hit a switch here but Nicu passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dassler there!

Dassler tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nicu wants to control the pace but Dassler is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Nicu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dassler keeps working.
Dassler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Nicu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Dassler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nicu swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nicu enables Dassler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nicu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nicu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dassler's guard.
Nicu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dassler to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nicu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dassler pulls down on the head and he's put Nicu to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rudi Dassler!
Rudi Dassler really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
