Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Manfield (ranked 8180 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Smith (ranked 4117 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a hook but Manfield avoids it easily.
Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Smith throws a good cross that connects.
Smith checks a leg kick.
Smith cracks a nice hook into Manfield's ribs.
Manfield walks into a jab.
Manfield is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Manfield takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Manfield tries to clinch up
and Smith counters with a left to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Manfield does a little dance to reset his feet.
Manfield throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Manfield moves into range and clinches up with Smith.
Manfield throws an elbow but it's blocked.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head punch on the inside from Smith fails to land.
A right hook to the body lands for Smith.
Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Manfield.
Smith swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Manfield is trying to stall.
Smith lands a right hand.
Manfield fails to pull guard.
Manfield lands a body shot.
Smith lands a shot to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Manfield's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Smith lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Smith working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Smith misses with some punches.
Manfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Manfield tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position.
Smith keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Manfield's efforts to push away.
Manfield wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.

Manfield has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Smith blocking some punches.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Manfield's elbow.
Smith misses with a body punch.
Manfield tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
Ben Manfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manfield takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
As Smith looks to move away, Manfield throws a big counter combo but Smith just gets out of the way.
Manfield takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Manfield takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manfield off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Manfield. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith misses with a body punch
and Manfield cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith lands a head shot.
Manfield is rocked!
Smith grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Manfield takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Smith cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
