Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jerry Krakowski (ranked 25243 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tai Hunt (ranked 5882 p4p, 556 weight class). Krakowski has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Tai Hunt acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jerry Krakowski! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Tai Hunt! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Hunt with a lazy takedown attempt and Krakowski counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Krakowski pulls Hunt into guard.
Krakowski is breathing heavily. Hunt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krakowski swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krakowski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hunt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hunt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Krakowski keeping full guard, as Hunt tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt is looking to pass into half guard but Krakowski pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Krakowski is in guard. Krakowski stopping the sweep attempt from Hunt. Hunt looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Krakowski has picked Hunt up and slammed him! That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt seems a little lost for a moment, as Krakowski dominates the positioning. Hunt tries to control but Krakowski manages to take his back. Score +3 for taking back: Krakowski (8) vs (0) Hunt Hunt trying to control but not successfully. Krakowski has the hooks in. Hunt is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Krakowski slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Hunt tries to escape the position.
Krakowski controlling from the back. Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krakowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
