The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Bone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lapis did well to prevent Bone getting side control. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Bone (2) vs (0) Lapis Bone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bone's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Lapis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bone is working away from the top position though. Bone performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Lapis is looking for a sweep. Bone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bone is looking to stall here but Lapis recovers full guard. Bone content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Lapis has locked up a guillotine! Lapis's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bone is holding on here and Lapis must be using up a lot of energy. Bone has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Lapis gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
