Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joy Rones (ranked 350 p4p, 48 weight class) and Rich Wood (ranked 1061 p4p, 127 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joy Rones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rich Wood! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rones moves into range and connects with a jab. Rones throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Wood to counter with a crisp jab. Wood attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Rones loads up on a big right hand but Wood slips the punch. Rones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wood.
Rones misses with a straight right. Rones misses with a hook to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Wood slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Rones thows a left - swing and a miss! Rones misses with a combination
and Rones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rones misses with a left hand and Wood counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rones misses with a lunging right hand
and Rones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wood ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Rones misses the target. A telegraphed right hand from Wood misses the target. Rones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wood was well out of range. Poor timing from Rones. Wood now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Rones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wood. Wood throws a leg kick but Rones moved away. Rones throws a right hand that misses
and Wood connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A nice inside leg kick there by Wood. That's going to slow Rones down. Rones misses the body punch and Wood counters with a straight right hand. Rones misses with an uppercut. Wood throws out a counter right but Rones avoids it with no problem. Joy Rones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rones misses with a body shot.
Wood scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Rones misses with a hook
and Wood counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rones throws the left hand but Wood avoids the punch easily. Rones misses with a left hand and Wood connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rones misses with a looping left. Wood only half commits to the counter leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rones looks to throw the jab but Wood is out of range. Rones works Wood's body with a nice hook. Rones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wood was well out of range. Poor timing from Rones. Wood tries a quick counter leg kick but Rones is wise to it. Rones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rones takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rones misses with a wild body shot. Rones misses with a right hand and Wood makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Rones. Wood does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Wood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wood takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wood fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rones. Wood checks a low kick from Rones. Wood uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rones. Wood slips a straight right by Rones. Wood feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rones's calf. Rones slips a jab from Wood. Rones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wood counters with a stiff right hand. Rones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Wood waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rones.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wood swings for the body but Rones moves out of range.
Rones appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Wood. Rones does a little dance to reset his feet. That kick from Rones tenderised Wood's leg. Wood is trying to keep his angry face on. Rones jabs Wood right on the nose. Wood blinks but takes it well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wood. Rones slips under a jab from Wood. Wood tries to move into range but Rones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wood throws a lazy uppercut
and Rones counters with a right hand to the body. Nice shot by Rones.
Wood is rocked! Rones misses with an uppercut. Wood saw that one coming. Wood throws a front kick aimed at Rones's knee but Rones avoids it well. Rones appears to be looking for a big counter. Rones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wood counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Wood is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rones had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Rones checks a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rich Wood will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wood is looking to score with low kicks. Rones was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Rones misses with a hook
and Wood counters with a thumping low kick. Rones misses with a jab to the body
and Wood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rones just misses with a punch to the body.
Wood takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A slow jab from Rones misses its intended target. Wood is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Rones with a body shot. Rones takes one to the side of the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rones misses the body punch and Wood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wood swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wood.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood just misses with a punch to the body.
Wood swings widly with a right hand
and Rones counters with a straight right hand. A left lands for Rones. Wood is still on wobbly legs! Can Rones finish him? Rones lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Wood falls backwards - clearly groggy! Rones dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joy Rones! Joy Rones really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sin City Allstars logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. The defeated Rich Wood had this to say: 'fuck the org, fuck the title shot, haha just kididng'.
