The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donato is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Donato closes the distance and pushes Edwards back into the cage.

Edwards throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Donato stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Donato moves to clinch but Edwards breaks away
and Edwards counters with a good low kick that Donato was not able to check.
We've been told by Edwards's head coaches at Rīga that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Donato is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Edwards lands a big head kick that sends Donato tumbling to the mat! Edwards takes a step backwards and waves Donato back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Donato is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Edwards cracks Donato with a left hook right on the temple and Donato goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Edwards lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Donato is OK!

Parnell Edwards decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
