Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harrison Maldonado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Racing!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Racing scores with a jab to the jaw.
Racing drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Maldonado is rocked!
Racing is staying tight to Maldonado's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Oh Maldonado is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maldonado is looking to regain half guard here but Racing keeps moving and retains side control.
Maldonado seems to have got his legs back now.
Racing in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Racing slows the pace down.
Maldonado is trying to control Racing's posture but Racing avoids it.
Maldonado is trying to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Racing controlling the position.
Maldonado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Maldonado takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Racing content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Maldonado is trying to improve his position.
Racing tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Racing has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Maldonado tries to close the distance and clinch up but Racing swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Racing closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maldonado to the mat! Maldonado manages to get full guard.
Maldonado pushes Racing off and scrambles back to his feet.
Maldonado rushes Racing and presses him up against the cage.
Maldonado tries to stall but Racing uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Racing breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
