Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Hall Jr (ranked 24934 p4p, 661 weight class) and Dough Boy (ranked 3900 p4p, 445 weight class). Hall Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Dirt Off Your Shoulder-Jay Z. Boy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rakin' in the Dough. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urijah Hall Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dough Boy! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boy dodges the punch combination from Hall Jr.
Boy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Boy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hall Jr scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Boy blocks a head kick by Hall Jr.
Hall Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boy.
No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A bone on bone clash there as Hall Jr blocks the leg kick.

Hall Jr lands a really nice looking cross but Boy seems unphased.

Hall Jr tries to keep at a distance but Boy has taken the fight into the clinch. Hall Jr has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Boy tries for a takedown but Hall Jr manages to get underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hall Jr thows a body kick. Boy tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hall Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Urijah Hall Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall Jr slips a straight right by Boy. Hall Jr throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Hall Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Boy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hall Jr. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hall Jr - that will leave a mark!

Boy is working for takedown but Hall Jr is calmly controlling the position for now. Urijah Hall Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dough Boy. Boy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Boy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Boy has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Hall Jr.

Hall Jr wants to pass the guard but Boy is keeping the position. Hall Jr works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hall Jr is trying to control the action in half guard but Boy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hall Jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hall Jr thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dough Boy has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hall Jr is thwarting Boy's attempts to control the position. Hall Jr is nestled in close to Boy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Boy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Boy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hall Jr scores with a couple of nice shots. Boy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Hall Jr winds up and cracks Boy with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hall Jr is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hall Jr looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hall Jr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Dough Boy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
