Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Rubens Charles (ranked 1128 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Santos (ranked 2511 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Santos moves into the clinch successfully.
Charles is trying to pull guard but Santos turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Charles fails to pull guard.
Santos gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Charles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Charles trying to hold on to Santos's head to control him but Santos postures up.

Santos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Santos wants to free his trapped foot but Charles is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Santos is looking to take a break and control but Charles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Santos tries to move to mount but Charles blocks the move with his legs. Charles is not content to let Santos control the position. Santos is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Santos has hold of Charles's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Charles manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Santos controlling the pace for now. Santos prevents Charles from getting the reversal. Santos content just to control the position here. Charles is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. It looks like Santos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Charles is looking to get to half guard. Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Santos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Charles wants to hold on but Santos pushes him away. Santos controlling the position easily from mount.
