PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Cahill (ranked 1904 p4p, 214 weight class) and Krom Kong (ranked 3557 p4p, 368 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Krom Kong was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Cahill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Krom Kong!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong works Cahill's body with a nice hook.
The crowd cheers as Cahill lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kong doesn't seem phased though.
Kong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cahill tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cahill.

Cahill was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Cahill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cahill moves out of range of the body kick from Kong.
Cahill misses with an uppercut. Kong saw that one coming.
Kong looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cahill throws an overhand right that lands on Kong's shoulder, as Kong tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cahill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kong.
Kong tries to move into range but Cahill moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cahill throws a series of punches but Kong moves out of range.

Cahill misses with a wild combination.
Kong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cahill.
Kong is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Cahill misses the target.
Kong takes one to the side of the head.


Kong is rocked!
Cahill cracks Kong's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Kong slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Cahill can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tim Cahill!
Krom Kong was interviewed post fight and said 'U were to good tonite'.
