Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Goodwin (ranked 8034 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Blesnar (ranked 3351 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ed Goodwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rock Blesnar! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blesnar is looking to chop away at Goodwin's legs. And Goodwin counters with a quick kick to the body but Blesnar blocks it. Blesnar moves into range and clinches up with Goodwin. Blesnar tries to circle away but Goodwin has him pinned against the cage. Blesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice takedown defense from Blesnar. No joy for Goodwin on that attempt. Blesnar digs a good body shot into Goodwin's ribs. Blesnar lands a jab to the nose. Rock Blesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blesnar gets a clinch. Blesnar tries to break the clinch but Goodwin is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodwin prevents Blesnar from breaking the clinch. Blesnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Blesnar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Goodwin, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blesnar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Blesnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Blesnar moves into the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Blesnar wants to get back to striking at distance but Goodwin won't allow it.
Blesnar has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Goodwin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blesnar throws a leg kick that is checked and Goodwin counters with a stiff right hand. Blesnar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Blesnar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Blesnar breaks the clinch.
Blesnar drives through and clinches with Goodwin against the cage.
Goodwin gets control of Blesnar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Goodwin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Goodwin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Blesnar. Blesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Goodwin wants to stand and escape but Blesnar is having none of it. Goodwin is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodwin wants to stand up but Blesnar is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodwin has control of Blesnar's left arm, preventing Blesnar from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Blesnar wants to get up but he can't break Goodwin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Goodwin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Blesnar throws a leg kick which misses Goodwin's front leg but catches the back leg as Goodwin tries to avoid it. Blesnar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Goodwin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Blesnar has Goodwin up against the cage in a clinch.
Blesnar tries to pull guard but Goodwin forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goodwin slows down the pace here.

Blesnar is struggling to control the position. Blesnar breaks the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A lazy left from Blesnar finds it's target.
Goodwin is rocked!
It looks like Ed Goodwin has been cut. A big right followed by a crushing left from Blesnar knocks Goodwin out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
