Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Saddleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Pato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saddleman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Saddleman lands a nice hook to Pato's body. Pato takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Saddleman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Saddleman tries to clinch but Pato moves out of range.
Saddleman thows a body shot but no joy.
Saddleman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pato manages to avoid it.
Pato shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Pato working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Pato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saddleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pato trying to control the position from guard on top but Saddleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pato is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Saddleman has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pato is looking to defend but Saddleman has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pato! Saddleman pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pato taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Melvin Saddleman!
