Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Rodriguez de Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JoeSon Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JoeSon Do is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luiz Rodriguez de Lima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JoeSon Do! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez de Lima keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Do throws a nice looking combination but Rodriguez de Lima bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Do loads up on a big right hand but Rodriguez de Lima slips the punch. Rodriguez de Lima shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Do as he avoids it easily. Rodriguez de Lima looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Do! Rodriguez de Lima has control of Do's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Do regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rodriguez de Lima jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Do is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Do and Rodriguez de Lima has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Do is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Do prevents Rodriguez de Lima from moving into mount. Do is trying to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rodriguez de Lima scores a takedown into full mount! Rodriguez de Lima trying to control but Do is having none of it. Do blocking the ground and pound. Do is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

A nice right hand lands inside from Rodriguez de Lima. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rodriguez de Lima takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Rodriguez de Lima fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Do misses with a short punch on the inside. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rodriguez de Lima just misses with a elbow thrown towards Do's brow. Do scores with a hook to the body. Rodriguez de Lima tries a knee to the head but Do blocks it.

Do makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Rodriguez de Lima lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Do. Do blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A looping hook to the body misses from Do. Rodriguez de Lima does a little dance to reset his feet. Do ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rodriguez de Lima moves away. Rodriguez de Lima wants to clinch but Do slips to the side and Do counters with a right hand to the body. Rodriguez de Lima takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rodriguez de Lima gets off balance looking for a body kick and Do connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Do getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez de Lima misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rodriguez de Lima has his takedown stuffed and Do counters with a lovely shot to the body. Do throws a good cross that connects.
Do misses with a hook. Rodriguez de Lima ducked under it nicely. Rodriguez de Lima tries to clinch up and Do counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rodriguez de Lima is rocked! Do looks to land a right hand but Rodriguez de Lima moved out of range. Oh Rodriguez de Lima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rodriguez de Lima avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rodriguez de Lima seems to have got his legs back now. Rodriguez de Lima keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Do finds it's way through Rodriguez de Lima's defenses. Rodriguez de Lima throws a sloppy head kick and Do moves out of range easily. A jab from Do does it's job there. Do misses with an uppercut. Do throws a hook but Rodriguez de Lima blocks it. The fighters circling - Rodriguez de Lima throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Rodriguez de Lima rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Do moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rodriguez de Lima looks to clinch and Do counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rodriguez de Lima misses with a body shot
and Do counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Do throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rodriguez de Lima counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rodriguez de Lima prevents Do from improving his position.

Do works his way to full guard. Good work. Rodriguez de Lima slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Do tries to buck Rodriguez de Lima off but Rodriguez de Lima is having none of it. Rodriguez de Lima wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Do, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but JoeSon Do will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Rodriguez de Lima scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Do is defending against the submission attempts here by Rodriguez de Lima.
Rodriguez de Lima is looking to stall here but Do recovers full guard. Do looking for a guillotine here but Rodriguez de Lima defends easily.

Rodriguez de Lima thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rodriguez de Lima wants to control from the top but Do keeps moving. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rodriguez de Lima fails with the takedown and Do counters with a right hand to the body.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. A big left from Do misses. Rodriguez de Lima with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Do to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Rodriguez de Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rodriguez de Lima misses with a takedown attempt and Do cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Do scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Rodriguez de Lima's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Do tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Do has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rodriguez de Lima trying to control but Do flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
