Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Altair Brain (ranked 2072 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pops Maellard (ranked 1364 p4p, 0 weight class). Brain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 300 Violin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Pops Maellard! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Brain rushes Maellard and presses him up against the cage. Brain has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Maellard after a bit of a struggle. Maellard wants a takedown but no success here.

Maellard has picked Brain up - he's going for a ride! Maellard dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Brain controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Maellard is trying to control the position but Brain postures up. Brain trying to control the position from guard on top but Maellard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Brain seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Maellard has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Brain reaches up to try and control the position but Maellard seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Brain rolls and tries to escape and now Maellard has his back!
Score +3 for taking back: Brain (4) vs (15) Maellard Brain trying to control the hands but Maellard breaks the grip. Maellard has good solid back control here. Brain trying to control the hands but Maellard won't let him.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Maellard working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Maellard is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Brain looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Maellard really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Brain.
