The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gottfried closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blackburn did well to prevent Gottfried getting side control.

Blackburn wants to sweep here but Gottfried controlling him for the moment.
Gottfried is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Gottfried has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Blackburn is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gottfried.
