Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Minerva (ranked 2364 p4p, 270 weight class) and Darius Khaan (ranked 3597 p4p, 368 weight class). Minerva comes to the cage accompanied by My Pal. Darius Khaan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Minerva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Khaan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Khaan.
Khaan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Darius Khaan has been cut.
Minerva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Khaan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Minerva tries to clinch but Khaan moves away
and Khaan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Minerva thinking.
Khaan connects with a solid leg kick.
Minerva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Khaan is out of range.
Minerva throws a right hand that misses
and Khaan counters with a right hand to the body.
Khaan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Khaan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Minerva.
A swing and a miss from Minerva.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khaan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A big left from Minerva misses.
Minerva tries to clinch up
and Khaan counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
and Minerva counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Khaan! He's just covering up as Minerva starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Minerva!
An out of breath Scott Minerva thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
