Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdel Mumu (ranked 36 p4p, 5 weight class) and Jax Thomas (ranked 67 p4p, 8 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Thomas.
Mumu looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Mumu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thomas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thomas throws a big counter head kick but Mumu avoids it with no problem.
Mumu with a jab.
Thomas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mumu at a distance.
Thomas misses with a kick to the body.
A counter left hand to the body from Mumu misses its target.
Mumu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thomas misses the shot to the body.
Thomas throws a leg kick
and Mumu counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mumu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Thomas. Thomas obviously looking to wear him down.
Thomas looks to land a left hand but Mumu moved out of range nicely.
Good leg kick by Thomas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Mumu counters with a series of strikes. Thomas will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Mumu counters with a crisp right that sends Thomas to the canvas! Mumu follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
