Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mastro Geppetto!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geppetto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Geppetto misses with the combination.
Geppetto circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mastro Geppetto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson throws a low kick, looking for Geppetto's leg but Geppetto calmly moves out of range.
Thompson shoots for a double leg takedown but Geppetto sprawls well. He's pushed Thompson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Geppetto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Geppetto stalks Thompson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thompson's face. Thompson staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Daniel Thompson has been cut.
Geppetto misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Geppetto gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Geppetto wants to get back to his feet but Thompson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Geppetto can do anything to dispel that myth.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Thompson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thompson doesn't manage to clinch there - Geppetto circles away.
Geppetto cracks a nice hook into Thompson's ribs.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thompson.
Thompson has his takedown stuffed
and Geppetto counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Geppetto throws a good cross that connects.
Geppetto throws a nice looking combination but Thompson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thompson throws a front kick aimed at Geppetto's knee but Geppetto avoids it well.
Thompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thompson is defended easily by Geppetto.
Geppetto lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Geppetto lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thompson backs up against the cage.
Thompson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Geppetto's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Thompson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Geppetto avoids it really well and circles away.

Geppetto lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Geppetto.
Daniel Thompson's cut is getting worse.
Geppetto fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Geppetto stuffs the takedown attempt from Thompson. Thompson gets slowly back to his feet.
Thompson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Geppetto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thompson somewhat.
Thompson dives in for a single leg takedown but Geppetto sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

This time Thompson falls down and Geppetto dives in with a huge hammer fist! Thompson's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Geppetto runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
