Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Haruto Jin (ranked 5329 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crash Well (ranked 7543 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Haruto Jin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crash Well!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Well. Those never looked like landing.
Jin throws the left hand but Well avoids the punch easily.
Well tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jin defends well and Well ends up having to push Jin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Jin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Well slips a jab from Jin.
Well wants to counter with a clinch but Jin pushes him away.
Well steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jin.
Well shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jin sprawls well. Jin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Well gets slowly back to his feet.

Well has closed the distance and engaged Jin in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jin has a couple of punches blocked by Well.
Jin swings wildly with an uppercut but Well uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jin throws a punch but it's blocked by Well.

Well tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Jin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Well's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Well scrambles back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice takedown defense from Jin. No joy for Well on that attempt.
Well takes a jab right on the kisser.
Well bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Well misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jin keeps control of Well as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Well counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Well is looking to clinch but Jin is avoiding it.
Jin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Well has time to react.
Well tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jin lunges at Well with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Well's hand.
Well will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Crash Well is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Well uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jin.
Jin misses the shot to the body.

Well tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jin defends well and Well ends up having to push Jin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Well counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Well closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jin to the mat! Jin manages to get full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Haruto Jin will probably get the nod.

Crash Well seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jin tries to avoid it but Well manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jin to the ground. Jin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Well moves away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
