Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Teixeira drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but FiereFist manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Teixeira has FiereFist in his guard.
Teixeira tries to land a sweep but no joy.
FiereFist trying to control but Teixeira is working from the bottom.
Teixeira looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

FiereFist looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Teixeira is fending him off so far but FiereFist persists. Nope, Teixeira circles away and we're back to standing.
FiereFist has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Rueben FiereFist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Teixeira looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

FiereFist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Teixeira tries to avoid it but FiereFist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Teixeira to the ground. Teixeira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! FiereFist crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Teixeira - the referee stops the clock and FiereFist gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Teixeira. FiereFist manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
FiereFist looks for a takedown but Teixeira sprawls well.
Teixeira wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Teixeira fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Teixeira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
FiereFist pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Teixeira back to the cage. FiereFist follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
FiereFist shoots in for a takedown but Teixeira shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Teixeira will probably get the nod.
