The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukakou darts in looking for a takedown but Kowalski gets double underhooks and turns Lukakou into the cage.
Lukakou fails with the takedown
enabling Kowalski to counter with a crisp jab.
Romelou Lukakou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lukakou tries for a takedown but Kowalski circles away easily
and Kowalski counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kamil Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romelou Lukakou.
Lukakou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kowalski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lukakou somewhat.
As Lukakou looks to move away, Kowalski throws a big counter combo but Lukakou just gets out of the way.
Lukakou shoots and misses
and Kowalski counters with a right hand to the body.
Lukakou tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kowalski defends well and Lukakou ends up having to push Kowalski into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lukakou doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kowalski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Romelou Lukakou has been cut.
Lukakou shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kowalski counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Lukakou falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
