Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Virtanen (ranked 4838 p4p, 557 weight class) and Vyacheslav Sokolov (ranked 4831 p4p, 553 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vyacheslav Sokolov!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokolov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Virtanen in his tracks.
Virtanen throws a lazy uppercut
letting Sokolov counter with a right hand.
Virtanen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sokolov was well out of range. Poor timing from Virtanen.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sokolov! But no joy.
Virtanen misses with an uppercut. Sokolov saw that one coming.
Virtanen misses with a looping left.
Virtanen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sokolov.
A big right from Virtanen misses.
Sokolov takes a shot right to the bread basket.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sokolov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Virtanen jabs Sokolov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sokolov defending well as Virtanen loads up on a big left hand.
It seemed like Sokolov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sokolov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nick Virtanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Virtanen misses with an uppercut
and Sokolov counters with a left and a right that stings Virtanen.
Virtanen throws the left hand but Sokolov avoids the punch easily.
Virtanen looks to land a left hand but Sokolov moved out of range nicely.
Sokolov now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Virtanen throws a lazy uppercut
and Sokolov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Virtanen ducks under a wild hook from Sokolov.
Virtanen misses with a right hand
and Sokolov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Virtanen is rocked!
Virtanen switches off momentarily and Sokolov cracks him with a monster right hand! Virtanen topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Sokolov dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Sokolov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vyacheslav Sokolov!
Vyacheslav Sokolov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
