Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 1181 p4p, 63 weight class) and Rubens Charles (ranked 1169 p4p, 61 weight class). Rubens Charles has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Klaus Chugman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rubens Charles! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Chugman fails with a takedown attempt. Charles fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chugman avoids it really well and circles away. Chugman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chugman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chugman showed some decent athleticism there. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Charles is trying to maintain the position but Chugman is very close to passing his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chugman is working for a kimura but Charles is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Charles moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Charles wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Charles trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chugman's corner is telling him to maintain position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Charles looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chugman instigates a clinch. Chugman wants the takedown. Charles is fighting it off but Chugman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Charles's guard against the cage. Charles wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Chugman is now in half guard. Charles wants to control but Chugman is keeping busy and won't allow it. Chugman moves into full mount! Charles won't be happy about that!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chugman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Charles manages to avoid the submission attempt. Chugman landing a few strikes.

Charles might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chugman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Chugman is looking for a kimura. Chugman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rubens Charles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A punch lands to the side of Charles 's head but he takes it in his stride. Nice sprawl there from Chugman as Charles shoots in. Chugman looking to shoot here. Chugman swings around for an armbar but Charles sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chugman's guard. Klaus Chugman dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Chugman misses with a takedown attempt - Charles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Charles tries for a takedown but Chugman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Chugman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Charles defends well and Chugman ends up having to push Charles into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Chugman fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Klaus Chugman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Charles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chugman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Charles trying to control the position but Chugman is working away. Chugman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Chugman can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chugman is trying to get back to half guard.

Chugman tries to lock up and control but Charles gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Chugman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Charles is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Chugman is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Charles is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Chugman is in real trouble.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

And that's the end of the fight! Rubens Charles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chugman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
