The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesbank doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Hawkins counter with a right hand.
Hawkins fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wesbank on the side of the head.
Wesbank takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hawkins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Wesbank rushes Hawkins and presses him up against the cage.
Wesbank tries for a takedown but Hawkins manages to get underhooks.
Still in the clinch, Hawkins scores with a nice short uppercut.
Wesbank has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hawkins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hawkins lands a left and a right that send Wesbank crashing to the mat, dazed. Hawkins thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Wesbank walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Wesbank limp body while Hawkins jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
