The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wild West fails with a takedown attempt.
Sakurai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sakurai dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wild West shoots in for a takedown but Sakurai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sakurai drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wild West defends it well.

Wild West shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wild West is thwarting Sakurai's attempts to control the position.
Wild West knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sakurai on the ground.

Wild West is looking to take a break and control but Sakurai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sakurai makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sakurai.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sakurai has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wild West should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sakurai has tightened it up now! Wild West should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
