Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Saenchai Son (ranked 5304 p4p, 207 weight class) and Titus Contreras (ranked 3225 p4p, 0 weight class). Son comes into the arena with Mama blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Saenchai Son has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saenchai Son! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Titus Contreras! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Contreras chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Son can pounce on him.
Contreras shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Contreras seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Contreras not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Contreras working his ground and pound in the gym. Contreras is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Contreras landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Contreras controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Contreras connects with a nice short shot to Son's temple. Contreras thows a huge punch but Son dodges it nicely.

Contreras is nestled in close to Son, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Contreras lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Contreras is working for a kimura but Son is defending it quite comfortably.

Son breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Son closes the distance and clinches. Son wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Contreras has him pressed against the cage. Son is trying to push Contreras away but Contreras has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Let's hope that Contreras has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Contreras is continuing to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Contreras working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Contreras seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Contreras seems to be looking for submissions.

Son can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Contreras controls the pace. Son knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Contreras on the ground. Contreras scoring with some ground and pound. Contreras scoring with punches to the head and body. Contreras distracts Son with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Contreras arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Son's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
