The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ohanian throws a solid leg kick but Gonzalez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ohanian.
Gonzalez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gonzalez walks into a straight right hand from Ohanian.

Gonzalez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ohanian has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ohanian is looking to chop away at Gonzalez's legs.
Gonzalez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

The referee asks Ohanian politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ohanian prefers to stall for the moment though.
