PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Argat Khan (ranked 1080 p4p, 125 weight class) and Elmer Fudd (ranked 1697 p4p, 193 weight class). Fudd has chosen Blue On Black as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Elmer Fudd has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Argat Khan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Argat Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elmer Fudd!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fudd throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Khan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fudd counters with a right hand to the body.
Fudd connects with a crisp jab.


It looks like Argat Khan has been cut.
Fudd tries to work over Khan's front leg with a kick but Khan checks it.
Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fudd has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fudd checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Khan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Shark Tank MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Khan throws a low kick but Fudd moves out of range easily.
Fudd jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Khan moves into the clinch.
Fudd looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Khan has a couple of punches blocked by Fudd.
Khan holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Fudd lands a left hand that snaps the head of Khan backwards.
Nice body punch from Fudd - that landed with a thud.
Fudd blocks a body shot from Khan.

Fudd manages to break the clinch.
Khan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fudd swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Khan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Fudd dances in with a quick combination. Khan is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Fudd snaps Khan's head back. Khan stumbles backwards against the cage. Fudd steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Khan's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Khan just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Elmer Fudd!
