Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Saenchai Son (ranked 6375 p4p, 209 weight class) and Daniel Subicic (ranked 8319 p4p, 225 weight class). Son comes into the arena with Mama blaring out of the sound system. Saenchai Son had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saenchai Son! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Subicic! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Subicic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Son napping and manages to drive through into side control! Son takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Subicic controlling from side mount. Subicic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Subicic in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Subicic is staying tight to Son's torso, preventing him from escaping. Subicic works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Subicic is trying to get an arm triangle but Son is defending well. Subicic misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Subicic moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Subicic is working Son over with some ground and pound from side control. Subicic is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Son taking punishment in the form of punches.
Subicic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Subicic controlling the position from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Check out the look on Subicic's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Subicic lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Son down.
Son taking a bit of punishment here - Subicic scoring with strikes. Subicic remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Son wants to get back to his feet but Subicic is dominant here and he's now got Son's back! Subicic biding his time, looking for the opening.
