Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raul Salvatierra (ranked 2171 p4p, 238 weight class) and Alexander Hamilton (ranked 7322 p4p, 552 weight class). Hamilton has chosen Alexander Hamilton as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Alexander Hamilton enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton drives through and clinches with Salvatierra against the cage.
Salvatierra stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hamilton has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hamilton drags the fight down to the ground.
Hamilton wants to stand but Salvatierra is controlling the position.
Hamilton throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Salvatierra escapes and throws Hamilton's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Salvatierra stands up.

It looks like Alexander Hamilton has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hamilton goes for a double leg but Salvatierra avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvatierra continues to drive forward.
Salvatierra feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Salvatierra circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hamilton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salvatierra as he jumps to the side.

and Hamilton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hamilton shoots in for a takedown but Salvatierra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hamilton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Salvatierra swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A little feinted left hand from Salvatierra on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hamilton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Salvatierra.
Hamilton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A counter left hand to the body from Salvatierra misses its target.
Hamilton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Salvatierra scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Salvatierra scores with a nice head shot.

Hamilton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Salvatierra counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hamilton thinking.
Hamilton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salvatierra.
Hamilton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Salvatierra catches Hamilton with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Salvatierra is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Salvatierra slaps away a takedown attempt from Hamilton, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Hamilton misses with a takedown
and Hamilton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hamilton misses with a lunging right hand
and Salvatierra counters with a stiff right hand.
Hamilton misses with a left hand
and Salvatierra counters with a straight right hand.
Hamilton gets a takedown into half guard.
Salvatierra pushes Hamilton off and gets back to his feet.
Raul Salvatierra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Salvatierra lands an overhand right.
Hamilton with a lazy takedown attempt
and Salvatierra counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hamilton clinches up with Salvatierra and pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hamilton.
Salvatierra misses with some punches.
Hamilton tries to pull guard but Salvatierra holds him up against the cage and eventually Hamilton drops back down to his feet.
Salvatierra lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hamilton backwards.
Hamilton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Salvatierra smiles and moves away.
Salvatierra is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Salvatierra keeps the fight on the outside.
Salvatierra is looking to counter punch.
Salvatierra cracks Hamilton with a right hand to the side of the head.
That has opened up Alexander Hamilton's cut even more.
Salvatierra gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Salvatierra pulls Hamilton in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
